Job Summary:

As System Administration Team Lead, you are responsible to oversee and maintain data center facility, server and security infrastructure. Plan and implement its related project as well as providing support to the team on the day-to-day operations and ensuring the infrastructure are in optimal performance.

Evaluates current, ongoing, and future infrastructure needs; and recommends changes. Develops and implements department strategic plans, processes, and procedures; and enhances the integration between the team and other departments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume leadership role in managing day-to-day Team’s operation.
  • Provide System Administration for on premise and cloud servers.
  • Respond to and resolve request/issues assigned through the ticketing system and ensure Team SLA is met.
  • Prepare and present project proposal for new initiatives.
  • Prepare business write-up for all maintenance support contract and ensure timely renewal.
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
  • Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.
  • Proactively monitor the performance, manage and maintain datacenter facility, server, storage, backup and system security.
  • Maximize the performance and improve the resilience of server operations by proactively monitor the performance, troubleshooting problems and outages, root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions, scheduling upgrade activities and capacity planning.
  • Define and document SOP, best practices, detailed system infrastructure designs, configurations and other related documentations.
  • Ensure the security of the system infrastructure by implementing industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance that in line with IT security policy.
  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as maintenance.
  • Assist with vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations.
  • Manage vendors and ensure services deliverable.
  • Coach, guide and train the team members on existing and new support scope/skillset.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the system infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with other departments to support the organization’s cybersecurity framework.
  • Any other duty & responsibility which the company may assign from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred.
  • At least 3 Year(s) experience working as team leader in managing team members to s enterprise IT operation.
  • Professional certification will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with server administration and cloud technology preferred.
  • Good business writing and presentation skills.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, team player, result oriented, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, flexible and independent.
  • Enthusiasm for continual leaming. as well as able to contribute to team development.
  • Team player who can perform under pressure and tight deadline.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, Server Virtualization, DNS, Backup, Storage, End Point Security Suite and etc. as a leader.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Organizes own workload, sets priorities and works within deadlines and provide timely status updates.
