On 14 and 15 September 2024, TCIE Vietnam Pte Ltd (TCIEV) and TC Motor Vietnam Co Ltd (TCMV) joined forces to host a Mid-Autumn Festival charity event for the indigenous Ch’om Community in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam.
The Ch’om Community is a remote mountain village inhabited by the Cơ Tu people. Despite their rich cultural heritage, these indigenous communities face significant challenges due to limited access to basic utilities, inadequate education resources and lack of integration with mainstream society.
In partnership with the Nhan Ai Charity Club, Tan Chong’s Da Nang plants organised a festive event for the Ch’om community. Adults and children enjoyed a delicious dinner and captivating performances, including a mesmerising musical dance and a vibrant lion dance. The children also showcased their creativity in a fashion show using recycled materials.
As part of the event, 100 school bags were donated to the children. 52 bags were contributed by TCIEV and TCMV, while the remaining 48 were donated by their employees. Additionally, the Nhan Ai Charity Club provided confectioneries, notebooks and lanterns to the children.
