The All-New Nissan NP300 Now In Laos – The New Generation Pickup Raising the Standard in the Segment

Vientiane Capital, 11 February 2015 – Tan Chong Motor (Lao) Sole Co., Ltd (TCML), a subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd (TCMH) and exclusive distributor of Nissan vehicles in Laos launched the all-new Nissan NP300 Navara. The launch event, held at Cultural Hall vicinity was graced by H.E. Mr. Somchit  Inthamit, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and Dato’ Dr Ang Bon Beng, Senior Regional Director Indochina, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd.

The all-new Nissan NP300 exudes a sportier and more emotional expression while maintaining the distinctive Nissan design DNA. View from the side is marked by the smooth silhouette thanks to the high beltline, side step and the sexy rear spoiler which lends the Nissan NP300 a unique character. The rigid and durable frame as well as modern yet tough and strong design places the all-new Nissan NP300 as one of the leading pickup in its class. The door section with dynamic convex and concave surface boldly expresses its energetic and dependable appearance along with the massively sculpted fenders that sits on solid and sporty 18” Alloy Wheels.  Additional visual spice comes from the chrome waist line mouldings and turn indicators mounted in the door mirrors.

The all-new Nissan NP300 powertrain also boasts improved performance, with 11% reduction in fuel consumption as well as a dynamic control braking system that making it a leader in performance. Engines options have been developed for best in class fuel efficiency and emissions rating, yet with impressive power output acceleration. Models come equipped with improved versions of Nissan’s 2.5-litre Diesel YD25 engine featuring a maximum power of 140kW and maximum torque of 450Nm.

Life on board the all-new Nissan NP300 has also been upgraded. The dashboard has been styled to feature a gentle sweep from the centre panel to the door side with 3-dimensional rich sections in order to offer a feeling of spaciousness.

The all-new Nissan NP300 transmission options include a seven-speed automatic and six-speed manual transmission. The seven-speed automatic, first in the pickup segment provides for low fuel consumption as well as better acceleration, expanded gear ratio for wider range of speeds. The six-speed manual transmission features enhanced fuel efficiency from low to high gear, while its optimised shift stroke makes for quick and effortless gear changes.
