“Nurturing the Future” – a CSR initiative by Tan Chong Motor Cambodia

Phnom Penh Province, July 2017 – Tan Chong Motor (Cambodia) Pty. Ltd. (TCMC), a subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd. (Malaysia) and Sole and Exclusive Distributor of Nissan vehicles in Cambodia officially handover school supplies to L’Orphelinat De Cambodge Enfance Developpement today. The home provides shelters to over 45 orphans.

“The items presented today are to support the home in providing a more conducive learning environment to the school-going children. Education and learning is an integral part of growing up and we hope that with the support that we have presented, the students will be able to study in a more comfortable environment. We also hope the provisional items will be able to sustain the students in times of raining season“, commented Mr. Hout Kimmeng, Country Manager of TCMC during the items presentation to the school.

The morning session was brightened by a beautiful cultural dance performed by the children followed by session of colouring contest. Though a first to the children, but they portray a talent for art with creative colour choices; giving the judges a hard time in deciding the winning piece. This activity by Tan Chong Motor Cambodia has proven the children’s creativity and also able to inspire their learning process. The day ended with 3 winners, a group photo and Tan Chong Motor Cambodia officials were taken on a brief tour around the children home.

As Tan Chong Group (Malaysia) celebrates its Diamond Jubilee Anniversary this year with the tagline ‘60 Years & Beyond‘, The Group wishes for a more sustainable development and achievable goals and therefore, is constantly seeking ways to enhance their CSR community outreach programme, as well as Nissan vehicle ownership experience.
