~ Featuring Nissan Intelligent Mobility for a safer you and your family ~

March 2021 – Tan Chong Motor (Lao) Co., Ltd. (“TCML”), Sole and Exclusive Distributor of Nissan vehicles and subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd. (Malaysia); held an innovative test drive event for its Nissan customers and public following-up from its successful launch just a week ago.

Hosted at ITECC Mall (open car park), from 6.00am – 9.00pm, the objective of the two-day Nissan Test-Drive Event was to demonstrate the newly launched Nissan NAVARA’s Rugged, Style, Smart features. The event was opened to the public as well as existing Nissan customers who were given a hands-on driving experience of the New Nissan Navara on ramps and through challenging obstacles purposely built for the event by Tan Chong Motor.

When in four-wheel drive mode, the Navara activates its Active Brake Limited Slip Differential system (ABLS), which manages power delivery and wheel braking between the front and rear axles and between the left and right of the vehicle, depending on traction and speed. Other features tested include Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Anti-lock Breaking (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Traction Control System (TCS).

Nissan Navara’s new Trailer Sway Assist system (TSA) helps the vehicle to maintain stability on the road when towing a trailer; despite not being able to showcase due to the space limitation.

Customers were in awe when they first set their eyes on the unique interlock grille and its high-tech C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights and quad LED projector headlamps. Everyone appeals to the pickup’s new Tailgate assist that helps lighten the opening and closing of the tailgate and new rear bumper step with integrated step that helps with easier access to the cargo bed, even kids finds it easy to hop into the back.

Most fascinating was during test drive when the cabin feels remotely quiet in spite of the pickup size that is able to carry up-to 1-tonne. This is the new Navara features the optimization of noise isolation through the usage of acoustic laminated glass at front windscreen and front windows.

Other intuitive Nissan Intelligent Mobility features that make Nissan customers feel more confident, excited and connected, while also enhancing road safety; are Intelligent Around View Monitor (I-AVM) and Intelligent Moving Object Detection (I-MOD).

Adults were impressed with the latest Nissan Connect infotainment system which is Apple Car Play and Android Auto Ready, while the children happy to see quite a number of USB ports to available to keep their play devices charged.

The response to the recently concluded two-day Nissan Test Drive Event was overwhelming. The public and existing Nissan customers came along with their friends, families and children were entertained with a variety of Fun Games for the children, Lucky Draws, Refreshments, etc. Besides the test drive event, this initiative had also given Nissan a platform to connect with their customers.

As Nissan continue to expand in Laos, customer satisfaction remains the key priority. TCML is committed towards optimising its after-sales service operations and aims to become one of the most customer-friendly brands in Laos.
