TAN CHONG GROUP SPONSORS RM2,000 WORTH OF ANG POWS IN THE CHINESE NEW YEAR HAMPER GIVING CEREMONY FOR THE SINGLE MOTHER, ELDERLY CITIZENS AND ORPHANAGE HOMES
Kuala Lumpur, 30 January 2016 – Chinese New Year celebration is always a joyous and prosperous festival in which we could indulge ourselves with an abundance of delicacies, new attires and visits to our family and friends’ homes.
It is during this time, we should share some of our fortunes with those who are less fortunate than us, namely the orphans, single parents, elderly citizens and physically disabled.
On 30th January 2016, Tan Chong Group had sponsored 200 red packets amounting to RM2,000 to the Persatuan Kebajikan Thirumular Malaysia in conjunction with their 2nd Chinese New Year Hamper Giving Ceremony for the Single Mothers, Elderly Citizens and Orphanages Homes at Dewan Persatuan Kebajikan Sri Agathiar in Dengkil. There were a total of 260 adults and 100 children who attended the event that day.
Tan Chong Group was represented by Y.B. Dato’ Dr. Lim Weng Khuan, Senior General Manager of TC Management Services Corporation Sdn. Bhd while Persatuan Kebajikan Thirumular Malaysia was represented by its President, Mr. A. Ananthan.

Persatuan Kebajikan Thirumular Malaysia (formerly known as Agathiar Charity Organization Malaysia) currently supports around 200 families around the Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan areas by distributing necessities such as rice, sugar, wheat flour and so forth to poor families on a monthly basis. They also provide food and transport for school children around Dengkil where the Association is located.
Providing assistance to those in need is part of Tan Chong Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme and is in line with our mission of giving back to society and the community.
