TAN CHONG INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT DONATES RM10,000 TO BADAN KEBAJIKAN THALASSAEMIA MALAYSIA

SELANGOR, FEBRUARY 2019: Badan Kebajikan Thalassaemia Malaysia or better known as BERKAT Malaysia is a non-profit charitable organization which committed to create awareness to the public of the Thalassaemia disease and alarming escalation among the peoples of Malaysia, as well as improving and enhancing the treatment available to suffers.

BERKAT Malaysia has a registered member of 7,000 and still increasing, comprising of Malaysian citizens who are either carriers of the disease or suffer from the symptoms of the same and / or a severe form of Anaemia requiring monthly blood transfusions with accompanying medications.

Ever ready to contribute to the less fortunate, Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn. Bhd. (TCIE), on behalf of Tan Chong Trucks Group, donated RM10,000 to BERKAT Malaysia in conjunction with their fund raising for the underprivileged HBE Beta Thalassaemia patients to acquire medical equipment and medications.

A simple yet meaningful cheque handover ceremony was held on 19 February 2019 at TCIE HQ in Batu Caves, Selangor. Ms. Jaclyn Loy, Chief Operating Office of TCIE, accompanied by Mr. Wong King Yoon, Director of TCIE, presented mocked-cheque to Encik Shahrul Anuwar bin Hassan, Vice President of BERKAT Malaysia.
