TAN CHONG MOTOR CAMBODIA LAUNCHES THE ALL-NEW NISSAN TERRA 7-SEATER SUV
December 2018 – Tan Chong Motor (Cambodia) Pty. Ltd. (“TCMC”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd. (Malaysia), and sole and exclusive Distributor of Nissan vehicles in Cambodia; officially launches the All-New Nissan TERRA to the public of Phnom Penh.
In his speech, Dato’ Than Tai Hing, Chairman of Tan Chong Motor Cambodia & Lao said, “The design of the all-new Nissan TERRA was conceived based on the driving needs of Asian customers as a whole. As customers now increasingly expect more from their vehicles, Nissan had to create a vehicle that could become an integral part of customers’ lives”.Dato’ Than further adds, “The fully imported from Thailand all-new Nissan TERRA design is all-capable, all-practical, and reliable for everyday use while also giving our customers the ability to switch from normal daily life to becoming adventurous”.
Mr. Kazuma Okura, General Manager of Independent Markets Management, Nissan Motor Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. mentioned in his speech, “Southeast Asia is very important for Nissan. Cambodia started showing signs of a growth in automotive sector and today we see the SUV segment remains Top 3 volume and growth driver for the automotive industry. Therefore, Cambodia’s All-New Terra is produced in neighboring country, Thailand, created for both urban commuting and off-road adventure”.
The All-New Nissan TERRA features advanced technologies for a safer and more confident drive. These innovative technologies called Nissan Intelligent Mobility includes Auto Tail Gate (automatically opens its tailgate when you approach and kick your foot under the back bumper), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) enhances your safety by making sure you only change lanes when you mean to. If this system detects that you’re drifting from your lane, it’ll give you a warning signal; Nissan’s Intelligent Around View Monitor (i-AVM) uses four cameras installed around the TERRA to give you a 360-degree top view around the vehicle to assist you with parking… or manoeuvring around tight spots especially when you are going off-road on rough terrains, while Moving Object Detection (MOD) used the four cameras to detect moving objects around the vehicle when it is in park or slowly manoeuvring; the system then alerts the driver both visually and audibly, plus many more features.
