Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad Honoured with Malaysia Investor Relations Awards 2021

Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (“TCMH”) was awarded the Best Investor Relations Website under Small Cap companies category by Malaysian Investor Relations Association (“MIRA”) at The Investor Relations Awards 2021 Virtual Ceremony on 14th December 2021. The Company was also nominated for Most Improved Service from IR Team in year 2020.

The Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Daniel Ho said that TCMH is honoured to receive this year’s Investor Relations Award. This recognition will indeed encourage Tan Chong Group to continue our efforts to enhance communications with stakeholders in tandem with the theme “Reinvigorating Investor Relations in the New Normal”. He added, “2021 remains challenging as our businesses were impacted by a series of lockdowns and cautious consumer sentiment. We continue to bring the right products with great value as well as harnessing our resources to place the Group on the recovery path in 2022.”

The Investor Relations Awards 2021 (IR Awards) was established by MIRA, the sole established non-profit organisation for investor relations under Bursa Malaysia, as an annual event to recognise and celebrate the achievements of top IR performers, promote good investor relations, advocating greater transparency and timely, fair disclosure to achieve fair valuation for all public listed companies on Bursa Malaysia.

In partnership with KPMG, the awards are presented as a result of a cumulative survey stretching over two months, where 800 investment professionals and analysts covering stocks in Bursa Malaysia were invited to take part. The award recipients are scored based on a 60:40 weightage system split between stakeholders voting and diagnostic assessments involving a series of qualitative and quantitative indicators.
