TAN CHONG MOTOR LAO RAISES FUND FOR FLOOD DISASTER IN ATTAPEU PROVINCE

August 2018 – Tan Chong Motor (Lao) Sole Co., Ltd. (“TCML”), Sole and Exclusive Distributor of Nissan vehicles and subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (Malaysia); carry out its Corporate Social Responsibility for the people of Laos.

On Monday night, 23 July 2018, a hydropower dam in Attapeu Province (southern Laos PDR) collapse and caused the loss of lives and the destruction of homes to six villages.

Tan Chong Motor Lao was saddened by the sudden news of the flood disaster and offered to provide aid in the affected areas to assist with the flood relief efforts.

Apart from purchasing basic necessity items, TCML promptly set-up a collection corner in their showroom for general public who wish to donate any items in-kinds.

On-top of that, TCML also organize a collection team to drive around, going door-to-door to assist in collecting donation items on-behalf of the public who were unable to make the drop-off at Nissan Showrooms.

After 3-days of collection, TCML then convoy to deliver all the donated items to the Relief Collection Centre.
