February 2021 – Like many business sectors, the car industry has been thrown into disarray by the coronavirus pandemic; however that did not stop Tan Chong Motor (Lao) Co., Ltd. (“TCML”), Sole and Exclusive Distributor of Japanese carmaker Nissan in Laos P.D.R. and a wholly owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (Malaysia), to continually create buzz in the market prior to launching the New Nissan NAVARA to the Laotian market.

The pandemic has changed things, making TCML hard-thinking on their feet to come-up with a great idea to leverage on a dual-platform-launch. 

With a customisable event hall enough for the allowed number of guests and an online Live streaming, the dual-platform-launch event was even successful than its previous product launches.

By embracing Live broadcast streaming, TCML was able to improvise and leverage to reach a greater audience covering other provinces that once, were not able to attend such grand product launch event before. Not to mentioned, online broadcasting has touch the new digital age as Key Opinion Leader (KOL), sometimes called an influencer started pouring-in in support of the new launch concept.

With the event hall capacity, those close-at-heart business associates and loyal customers had the feeling of importance and pledge to continuously support Nissan and Tan Chong Motor Lao. KB Kolao Leasing even created a special interest rate as low as 0.4% just for New Nissan Navara customers.

Even with the new norm, the event still flows smoothly with VIP attendance, members of the media and specially invited guests. Speech of the night was heart-warming, launch gambit was exhilarating, and cheers and applause was loudly heard among the crowds as well as the online audiences who were anxiously and eagerly waiting for the unveiling moments.

Tan Chong Motor Lao will not forgo the ‘traditional’ way of product launch but has decided in future, and undeniably that Live streaming should be incorporate as a way forward. As this is the first for TCML, the great effort that was poured-in by each employee has contributed to the successful launch of the event.

The Management lauded the evening event a success, as it has manage to bring-in double digit bookings, while the online platforms has created much hype and interest with even more enquiries. Nissan Official FB page garnered over 12.6k viewership, while the attending KOL’s accumulated more than 5.2k reactions and 62k views; totalling up to over 79.8k online view.
