Nissan Intelligent Mobility: Advanced technologies
The objective of Intelligent Mobility is to make Nissan customers feel more confident, excited and connected, while also enhancing road safety. The new safety feature of the New Nissan X-Trail 2018 include:

  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW) : this system detects vehicles situated in the driver’s blind spots (left and right). BSW gives the driver a warning via an indicator light that flashes on the door pillar with an audible chime.
  • Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) : When you’re backing out of a parking space, this feature watches the area around the side rear of your X-Trail, and can warn you about vehicles detected that you might not see approaching from up-to 20 meters either side. It alerts the driver with a flashing visual warning (using the Blind Spot Warning indicator lights) and an audible warning when an approaching vehicle is detected.
  • LCD 8-inch touchscreen with DVD player and rear view camera gives the driver a clear rear visual whether day or night, and in-car entertainment for passengers. (largest-in-class screen on any SUV segment)
  • Intelligent Ride Control (IRC): monitors the road surface to detect undulations which could potentially upset the pitch of the car body and make subtle adjustments to the engine’s torque to compensate.
  • Intelligent Trace Control (ITC): applies braking force where necessary when cornering.
  • Hill Start Assist (HSA): Assists in preventing rolling backwards when driving off from a standstill on a sloping incline.

In addition to the advanced safety features detailed above, the many other standard safety features include:

  • Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS)
  • Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)
  • Driver and front passenger front-impact SRS airbags

Engine and Transmission
This premium SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine that delivers 106kW at 6,000 rpm of maximum power and a peak torque of 200Nm at 4,400 rpm with a 60-litre fuel tank to deliver excellent driving range. The four-cylinder petrol engine is efficient and responsive featuring Nissan’s DIG (Direct Injection Gasoline) technology and twin variable valve timing control to deliver strong fuel economy and torque.

On the other hand, the transmission available is the X-TRONIC. Unlike Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the X-Trail’s XTRONIC transmission mimics the behavior of traditional, multi-ratio automatic gearboxes during hard acceleration, with stepped changes. In normal driving, the ratios are subtly adjusted to give the ultimate smoothness. This means the XTRONIC transmission offers the best of both worlds for drivers, with ultra-smooth low-load power delivery and direct performance during higher acceleration driving. Not to mentioned, it also gives the driver a Manual (+ / -) Mode for some fun and exhilarating excitement.

All X-TRONIC-equipped X-Trail models come fitted with an ECO mode button, located on the cockpit in the lower-left area near the steering column. This function maximizes fuel economy by controlling the engine and transmission operation to help avoid rapid acceleration by the driver.

Chassis, Suspension and Steering
The new Nissan X-Trail 2018 uni-body (monocoque) structure has been optimized to reduce road, wind and mechanical noise. Achieving this level of refinement is brought about by the inclusion of additional damping material and sound absorption materials in areas of the floor and body pillars.
The X-Trail comes fitted with four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, an independent strut design front suspension and a rear multi-link set-up, providing excellent handling and ride comfort.

The X-Trail uses Electric Power Steering (EPS), helping to reduce fuel consumption by avoiding the need for an engine-driven hydraulic pump. The X-Trail uses an EPS logic system which enables high stability and less body motion. Steering effort is automatically varied according to the driving conditions.THE NEW NISSAN X-TRAIL 2018 IS MAKING A PREMIUM ENTRANCE INTO LAOS.
